A dispute could drain your time, money and confidence. Mediation is another alternative method of dispute resolution in which the parties meet in an informal setting where they can share their position regarding the conflict, exchange ideas and concepts, but also collaborate in order to reach a confidential settlement. By resolving your issues through mediation, you will be a master to the agreement you’ll sign.
The mediator’s task is limited to helping the parties to resolve the dispute in an amicable manner; unlike a judge or an arbitrator, the mediator does not have the power to issue a final and binding decision. An agreement accepted between the parties could become a judgment following a request for approval by the court.
If you cannot afford to wait for court delays and proceedings to resolve a conflict or dispute with a partner, contractor or subcontractor, employee, employer, neighbour or another, you can use my service as a mediator to help you find an appropriate and proactive solution to your situation. At the end of my services as a mediator, if no agreement was reached and you want an immediate and final decision based on what you mentioned during the meeting, you can even appoint me as a Mediator/Arbitrator. This formula can be very interesting in cases involving construction.
As noted previously, if you do not want to use mediation but you do not want to wait for the important legal delays, as mentioned above, you can use my services as a civil and commercial arbitrator. This solution is more expeditious and could allow you to resume your business operations quickly.
